<strong>and</strong> sins before the school. You can not do a work<br />

more effectual to harden their hearts <strong>and</strong> confirm<br />

them in evil than in doing this. Talk <strong>and</strong> pray with<br />

them alone, <strong>and</strong> show the same tenderness Christ<br />

has evidenced to you who are teachers. Never<br />

encourage any one student to criticise <strong>and</strong> talk of<br />

the faults of others; hide a multitude of sins in<br />

every way possible by pursuing Christ's way to<br />

cure them. This kind of educating will be a<br />

blessing, made to tell in this life <strong>and</strong> stretching into<br />

the future immortal life.<br />

To place young men <strong>and</strong> young women in such<br />

a field who have not developed a deep, earnest,<br />

love for God <strong>and</strong> the souls for whom Christ has<br />

died, is making a mistake which will result in the<br />

loss of many precious souls. The teacher needs to<br />

be susceptible to the influences of the Spirit of<br />

God. Not one who will become impatient <strong>and</strong><br />

irritated, should be an educator. Teachers must<br />

consider that they are dealing with children, not<br />

men <strong>and</strong> women. They are children who have<br />

everything to learn, <strong>and</strong> it is much more difficult<br />
