as in the sight of the whole universe of heaven, if<br />

they have the mind of Christ <strong>and</strong> are molded <strong>and</strong><br />

fashioned by the Holy Spirit, they will behave not<br />

in a simpering, affected manner, but as ladies <strong>and</strong><br />

gentlemen. And if students have before them the<br />

teachers' example of propriety, they will day by<br />

day be educated in proper manners.<br />

To establish our school in this out-of-the-way<br />

place seemed to surprise some. It has required<br />

some hard work to make a beginning. If the work is<br />

well begun, it will cost time <strong>and</strong> money. But a<br />

thing begun right is half done. It is the first steps<br />

that cost. But in holding what is already gained, we<br />

make a continual advance in the right direction. All<br />

are not wise to see this.<br />

By the blessing of the Lord the work has been<br />

started, <strong>and</strong> now the help of every one is needed.<br />

The students must be taught how to begin. The<br />

educators must be men <strong>and</strong> women who have had<br />

experience, <strong>and</strong> who will lead the students in the<br />

right way at every step they advance. Teach Bible<br />

manners; teach purity of thought the strictest<br />
