The Lord has been very merciful to you, my<br />

brother, but you are in great danger. Your eyes are<br />

blinded; you are accepting as truth the specious<br />

sophistry of the enemy.<br />

Let me tell you of a scene that I witnessed<br />

while in Oakl<strong>and</strong>. Angels clothed with beautiful<br />

garments, like angels of light, were escorting Dr.<br />

Kellogg from place to place, <strong>and</strong> inspiring him to<br />

speak words of pompous boasting that were<br />

offensive to God.<br />

All who sustain a brother in his boastful<br />

positions are held accountable by God for<br />

confirming him in a perilous delusion. You should<br />

have discernment to see the delusion which, before<br />

the General Conference of 1901, began to take<br />

possession of the Doctor's mind, <strong>and</strong> which ever<br />

since has been gradually gaining ground. At that<br />

time I hoped that he was coming out clear <strong>and</strong><br />

straight on the side of obedience to the<br />
