Exercise 2 – Ripple cards<br />
a) In small groups or as a class, write Jeffery’s name on a large piece of paper. Select ‘Ripples’ cards<br />
that you think best reflect the effect on Jeffery of his Mum’s <strong>gambling</strong>, cut them out and place<br />
them around his name.<br />
b) Now consider what further impacts there may be on Jeffery as a result of these effects. For<br />
example, one impact may be ‘lack of money’. Write down this impact on a large piece of paper.<br />
Select ‘Ripples’ cards that you think best reflect the impact on Jeffery of his lack of money?,<br />

use the information there to help you with the following.<br />

can friends manage their own needs and yet still be there for the person in trouble?<br />
