Overview of the Industrial Use of MMK’s Products<br />
MMK’s product mix may be divided into three main groups: flat products, long products and downstream<br />
products.<br />
Flat Products<br />
Slabs are used for production of flat products in the form of coils and sheets.<br />
Hot-rolled coils are used for production of cold-rolled coils, strip and electric welded pipes.<br />
Hot-rolled sheets are used for production of ship hulls, bridge and other steel structures, boilers and high<br />
pressure vessels, machines’ and mechanisms’ parts and other steel items.<br />
Cold-rolled coils are used for production of machines’ and mechanisms’ parts, including frames, welded pipes<br />
and other steel items.<br />
Cold-rolled sheets are used for production of machine and mechanism parts, home appliances, consumer goods<br />
and other steel articles.<br />
Black plate (in coils and sheets) is used for production of tin plate, thin cold-rolled band (in coils), and consumer<br />
goods.<br />
Cold-rolled bands are used for manufacturing machines’ and mechanisms’ parts including wheel disks, springs<br />
and band saws, cartridges, furniture tubes, bearings, consumer goods and other steel items, as well as for cargo<br />
strapping and bracing.<br />
Long products<br />
Billets are used for production of long rolled products.<br />
Square bars are used for manufacturing railway fasteners and also for manufacturing metal structures.<br />
Wire rod is used for manufacturing wire, steel ropes, cords, cables and other steel items, as well as for packing<br />
and strapping lumber, metals and other cargo.<br />
Round bars are used for production of machine and mechanism parts and fasteners.<br />
Flat bars are used for manufacturing machine and mechanism parts and steel structures.<br />
Hexagonal bars are used for manufacturing fasteners.
