PCMs have to be contained
within a closed environment as
when they change phase, they
pass from solid to liquid state.
If the PCMs were not protected
in microcapsules, the liquid PCM
would flow away.
For consumers, the above described

some advantages. First of all
comes the smart heat exchange
mechanism which makes the
body suffer less from night
sweats, and results in a longer,
healthier and more comfortable
sleep with fewer awakenings.
The softness and handle of the
fabric is not affected due to the
very small microcapsules which
penetrate very deeply inside the
textile structure, leaving the surface
almost as in original state.
