the Paramount western series Hopalong Cassidy<br />

films, among many others.<br />

During the 1940s the studio was now known as<br />

the California and Enterprise Studios, and it<br />

hosted Enterprise productions of Ramrod with Joel<br />

McCrea, Body and Soul starring John Garfield, and<br />

Arch of Triumph with Charles Boyer. The 1950s<br />

brought television production to the lot, and the<br />

California Studios kept up with the latest<br />

technology, making it a popular venue for top<br />

television producers shooting TV pilots and shows<br />

including: Life of Riley, The Adventures of Superman,<br />

The Cisco Kid, Have Gun Will Travel, Perry Mason,<br />

Space Patrol, and Ronald Reagan’s Death Valley<br />

Days. Other features shot on the lot during the ’50s<br />

included Johnny Concho with Frank Sinatra.<br />

In 1961 the studio changed hands again, and<br />

became known as Producers Studio. It<br />
