Henry Rowe, Royal Haskoning
Henry’s career began in 1974 as an assistant engineer with
Halcrow. He later moved to Posford Duvivier, and his career
has taken him around the world, working on such projects
as the Western Harbour Development Study in Hong Kong
and the Port of Jeddah Container Terminal. In 1999 Henry
was appointed maritime director of Posford Haskoning, later
Royal Haskoning, where he took overall responsibility for
the work of the division, a vast array of maritime projects
including Massawa Port Master Plan, Eritrea, Duqm Port,
Oman, and Cai Lan Port Development in Vietnam. In January
2008 he accepted a position on the Royal Haskoning board
of management. His activities include board responsibility
for the Divisions Maritime, Coastal and Rivers, Water and
Environment as well as the Corporate Support Groups ICT,
QMS and Marketing and Communications. Henry attended
the University of Central London; in 1974 he acquired a BSc
in engineering. He has over 37 years professional experience
including a total of 12 years spent overseas. He has
specialised in the planning and design of ports and waterways,
covering port master planning, port and berth layout planning,
port operations and cargo handling.
Kevin Rudden, Thomas garland & Partners
Kevin has almost twenty years experience as a civil and
structural engineer. He is a chartered engineer, a registered
consulting engineer and a member of the Association of
Consulting Engineers of Ireland. He was made director
of Thomas Garland & Partners in October 1999. He has
experience of planning, design, project management,
coordination and supervision in the construction of a range
of large civil and structural engineering projects and has
extensive experience of the day-to-day management of
building and civil engineering projects. Kevin has been an
executive member of the Association of Consulting Engineers
of Ireland since 2004, and is currently honorary secretary and
the convenor of the Joint Association of Consulting Engineers
of Ireland/Institution of Engineers of Ireland health and safety
