Welcome<br />
We would like to welcome you to ACE’s European CEO Conference 2010.<br />
This is the first European CEO conference that ACE has held. Its aim is to bring<br />
together leading industry figures to discuss the key strategic issues facing your<br />
business <strong>and</strong> your sector.<br />
The conference is part of ACE’s benchmarking programme. The conference<br />
gives us the opportunity to discuss its findings in depth. We are also pleased to<br />
have such a diverse range of speakers participating in this flagship event.<br />
Tomorrow you will hear our overview of the benchmarking report with some<br />
detail of how the industry is shaping up. This will provide you with valuable<br />
insight into how your company fits within that.<br />
Today we will focus on the impact of mergers <strong>and</strong> acquisitions, the lessons<br />
learned from the credit crunch <strong>and</strong> trends in leadership.<br />
We have an impressive selection of speakers over the two days <strong>and</strong> we hope<br />
you will share your insight too.<br />
