Paul Zofnass, efcg
Paul is a graduate of Harvard College, and an alumnus of
both Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School. He
is president of EFCG (The Environmental Financial Consulting
Group), an investment banking and financial advisory firm he
founded 20 years ago, to provide financial and strategic advice
to the engineering and consulting industry. Today EFCG serves
as a retained advisor to 40 of the industry’s leading firms
world-wide, providing business and strategic advice. EFCG
hosts an annual CEO conference in New York City, now in its
20th year, a ‘by invitation only’ event that brings together the
heads of the industry’s 200 largest firms in New York for a
three-day update and analysis of the industry. Prior to founding
EFCG in 1990 he spent 17 years in finance, beginning his
career with four years at Citibank, where he was in charge
of a unit specialising in acquisition financing. He spent 13
years with Oppenheimer, a major Wall Street investment
banking firm, where he was a managing director in investment
banking, created and ran their public equity group in corporate
finance, was actively involved in financing and mergers
and acquisitions, and initiated their environmental services
group. He is married to Renee Ring, a finance attorney, and
has two grown daughters.
