year-end and New Year holidays
By Digital News Team Dec 3, 2019 Jeonbuk Daily News (www.jjan.kr)
Gunsan City announced on December
3rd that it has installed beautiful night
landscape lighting for the year-end and
New Year holidays.
According to Gunsan City, the night
landscape lighting will be newly
installed and operated in major tourist
attractions to improve the stagnant cold
weather atmosphere. The lighting will
provide a space for sightseeing tourists
and give the citizens hope at night.
The night lighting was installed in the Old
City Hall Square, Eunpa Park, and the
Railroad Village, which are all spotlighted
as night walks for tourists and citizens.
The operational period runs from
December to the end of February next
year, and the old City Hall Square and
Eunpa Square will include a 6m high
tree and deer sculptures, while colorful
laser beams and LED sculptures will be
installed in the railroad town.
Additionally, various sculptures for taking
photos and a photo zone will harmonize
well with the facilities around you to
create wonderful memories at night.
In particular, the most famous tourist
spots have been decorated with
colorful lights, making the night view
more beautiful and transforming the
surrounding promenade and the entire
city area into a luxurious space. As a
result, tourists and citizens visiting
Gunsan are able to walk through the
gorgeous streets of winter while viewing
the night landscape lighting.
A city official said, "We plan to expand
to more places next year so that citizens
can receive a new message of hope."
Mayor Kang Gun-jun said, "I hope this
night lighting will be a light of comfort
and blessing to the valued citizens who
do not give up hope even during the
economic downturn."
