Chapter Seven- “Family Chaos”
The next morning the girls were awakened by Jess's alarm sounding. Jess reached over to shut it
off,chuckling when she heard protest from Cailin.
"Ugh, it's so early, do you have to leave? Can't you just call in today?" The brunette rolled over
to face Jess, wrapping herself around the other girl.
Jess smiled and kissed Cailins forehead. "I'm sorry, I wish I didn't have to, but I already called in
the last two days. "
Cailin groaned. "Do you have time to have coffee with me before you go?"
"I'll always have enough time for you," Jess said, as she stroked Cailins cheek. The sleepy
brunette looked up and locked eyes with her girlfriend and smiled before kissing her softly.
“Besides, mom is going to make breakfast for everyone before we leave. She’s going to drop
me off when she runs some errands.”
"I guess I'll let you get dressed while I go make coffee. I would like to say goodbye to you
properly before Maura or Jane wake up," Cailin said with a smile.
Jess dressed and headed downstairs. She smiled when she saw Cailin standing next to Maura's
coffee contraption, as Jane liked to call it. Quickly, she closed the distance between them. She
wrapped her arms around the brunette and smiled.
"I could get used to this," she mumbled into Cailins neck.
"What’s that exactly?"
