"I don't know," Maura replies. "I mean sure, she has comforted Cailin before, but something

about the way Jess handled that, it just seemed strange. Maybe it's just me." The blonde says

while pulling plates from the cabinet.

"No Maur, it's not just you. I get the feeling something is going on that those girls are hiding."

Jane looked at her partner. "Ry, do you know why the girls are acting strangely?"

Riley continued filling the plates with eggs and pancakes while answering. "No, honestly I

haven't noticed anything weird really." Jane watched her partner. They had worked together long

enough for Jane to know when Coop was hiding something.

Jane narrowed her eyes at Riley. "Hmm, well my gut tells me somethings up and I plan to get to

the bottom of it."

"I bet your gut is also telling you you're hungry right about now too, huh?" Riley chuckled.

"Oh shut up Coop," Jane remarked back with a smile. When breakfast was finished, Jane called

down for the girls. As everyone gathered at the table, Jane watched how Cailin and Jess

interacted with one another.

"Something is definitely up with those two," she thought to herself.

After breakfast, Maura got up to take Jess to work and run some errands. As she was kissing

Jane, before going out the door, little Amelia caught the attention of everyone in the room.

“Jess was kissing Aunt Cailin!”

Jane and Maura quickly turned to the seven year old before staring back behind them at Jess.

“What did you say Amelia?” Jane wanted to make sure she heard correctly.
