Roger was out at the
local jewelry store
shopping for his girlfriend
for Valentine’s
Day. Roger spotted a
beautiful gold ring and
called an attendant
over for assistance.
“Yes, sir, may I help
you?” asked the
attendant.
“I’m interested in this
ring for a Valentine’s
Day gift. Can you tell
me more about it?”
“Why yes, sir. It’s a
stunning 24 karat gold
ring with a 3/4 karat
ruby in it. And we can
even engrave it for that
special someone, free
of charge.”
Roger thought for a
minute and then told
the attendant, “I think
I will buy this ring.
Please engrave it ‘To
my one and only love.’”
“How very romantic of
you,” exclaimed the attendant,
“that is a very
sweet way to show
your affection.”
“It’s not romantic, it’s
more practical. If my
girlfriend and I end up
breaking up, I can use
this gift again.”
My first day back to the gym went well. I did 20 minutes of cardio,
10 minute on the defibrillator, and three days in the hospital.
