Ai: This atiit ais to roade the studet’s koledge aout the arious traditioal oard
games played in India, China, Egypt, Canada and do a comparative study on how different cultures
came up with their own takes of recreation and entertainment taking into consideration the
similarities and differences in the traditional board games taking into consideration of various
factors in order to ensure inclusive and quality education and promote lifelong learning
opportunities for all for good health and wellbeing.
Activities: 1. Hands at work: Students of Std IV were briefed about the activity through virtual
meeting followed by Guest lecture by Shri. Anup Deshmukh. They collected information about the
different board games of India, China, Egypt and Canada and then made pictorial album/models.
They explained it using informative chart giving a deep insight of the ancient traditional games and
cultures to this day. The models were judged by the experts and the winner work will be uploaded
on the School Facebook page.
2. Research based activity: Students of Std V were briefed about the activity via virtual meeting
through WebEx meeting app. They prepared a comparative report of the different traditional games
mentioning the similarities and differences among these games with respect to their origin and
evolution, no. of players required, rules of the games, things required to play the game etc.
followed by PPT presentation which is shared through You tube channel.

3. Fun Games: A briefing session of the activity was conducted with the students of Std IV. Students
along with their parents made a model of a traditional board game of any one chosen country and
played the game along with their parets’/ family members. The game was video graphed and
shared on You tube channel.
