With the sheer intention to create interest and
awareness about the different Board games all
over the world. This activity was planned for the
students of 5th standards. In which students were given the
name of the countries and were asked to find out about the
different games, the way they are played, the rules and benefits.

It was a great success, since most of the students found it
interesting and made those boards themselves, played with
their parents and friends and shared the video. Such type of
research oriented sports activities has a great learning
outcome and experience. They could know much more than
their own.

‘Traditional Board Games Across the Wall,’ an IDS
Project under the British Council 2021-22 gave me an opportunity
to be part of the various activities which were conducted to
encourage students to learn about traditional Board Games.
Students were able to learn about various Traditional Board
Games played in different countries. These games are not only easy
boredom buster but also helps Students to learn about other
cultures.
