Cables<br />
<strong>Motors</strong> with DRIVE-CLiQ have a sensor module that includes the encoder evaluation, the<br />
motor temperature sensing and an electronic rating plate.<br />
This sensor module instead of the signal connector and has a 10-pin RJ45-plus socket.<br />
Caution<br />
The sensor module contains motor and encoder-specific data as well as an electronic rating<br />
plate. This is the reason that this sensor module may only be operated on the original motor<br />
- and may not be mounted onto other motors or replaced by a sensor module from other<br />
motors.<br />
The sensor module has direct contact to components that can be destroyed by electrostatic<br />
discharge (ESDS). Neither hands nor tools that could be electrostatically charged may come<br />
into contact with the connections.<br />
For all encoder types (incremental encoder, absolute value encoder, resolver), the same<br />
DRIVE-CLiQ cable is used.<br />
The following cable should be used to connect an encoder:<br />
