The local pastor decided
to skip church one
Sunday morning. It was
a beautiful day and he
decided he’d rather go
golfing than prepare his
sermon.

The primary
components of a
good golfer’s diet are
lots of greens and
water.
He told his assistant
that he wasn’t feeling
well and that he was
going to go back to
bed and didn’t want to
be disturbed. He then
drove to a golf course
in a different city, where
nobody knew him.
The pastor teed off on
the first hole. A huge
gust of wind caught the
ball, carried it an extra
hundred yards, and
dropped it right into the
hole. A 450-yard hole
in one... he couldn’t
believe it!
The pastor’s guardian
angel was watching all
of this take place from
Heaven. He turned to
God stunned and said,
“That was unbelievable.
What did you do that
for? That pastor sinned
by lying to his assistant
and skipping church,
and you’re going to
reward him with a shot
like that?”
God smiled and said,
“Who is he going to be
able to tell?”
