St. Joseph’s Church is one of the oldest Catholic churches in Singapore that has been gazetted as a<br />
national monument since 2005. The church features its neo-Gothic grandeur with carved ornamentation,<br />
tile works and stained glasses. The lighting for the church accentuates the timeless character of the<br />
building as a place of worship and heritage gem with appropriate brightness and contrast. For the<br />
church interior, simple linear uplight and spotlight were chosen instead of the suspended pendant so as<br />
not to distract the focus to the series of small altars, statues, and heritage features. All interior lighting is<br />
connected to the lighting control system and various lighting scenes were created according to the<br />
operation needs of the church.
