Use QUERY USERS to display:<br />

v The number of logged-on users<br />

v The number of users dialed to other virtual machines<br />

v The device number of a specified user.<br />

userid<br />

displays the user ID <strong>and</strong> device address of the user specified in the QUERY<br />

USERS userid comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

* displays the user ID for the user issuing the comm<strong>and</strong>.<br />

QUERY USERS<br />

EXTended<br />

specifies that logical unit network qualifiers, or logical device host names <strong>and</strong> IP<br />

addresses, are displayed, if they exist.<br />

AT *<br />

displays the number of users logged onto the system you are logged onto.<br />

When specified with userid, it displays the user ID <strong>and</strong> device address of a user<br />

on the system you are logged onto.<br />

AT ALL<br />

displays the number of users logged onto all systems in the CSE complex.<br />

When specified with user ID, it displays the user ID <strong>and</strong> device address of a<br />

user on all systems in the CSE complex.<br />

AT sysname<br />

displays the number of users logged onto system sysname. When specified<br />

with userid, it displays the user ID <strong>and</strong> device address of a user on system<br />

sysname.<br />

1. A dialed display device is not available to <strong>CP</strong> because it is logically attached to<br />

a logged-on user <strong>and</strong> is a part of that user’s virtual machine configuration. For<br />

more information, see “DIAL” on page 258.<br />

2. QUERY NAMES <strong>and</strong> QUERY USERS can return different responses for the<br />

number of users logged on. The number of users in the process of logging on<br />

<strong>and</strong> logging off accounts for this difference.<br />

3. In a CSE complex, the default for the QUERY USERS userid comm<strong>and</strong> is AT<br />

ALL unless the comm<strong>and</strong> issuer or user ID is in a CSE exclusion list. In this<br />

case, the default is AT *.<br />
