Privilege Class: G
Use DUMP PSW to send the program status word to your virtual printer.
DUMP PSW
ALL
dumps the current values and appropriate interrupt information for the current
PSW and all old and new interrupt PSWs (except restart).
MCH
PRG
PROG
SVC
dumps the current values and appropriate interrupt information for both the new
and old PSWs specified—that is, SVC, program check, machine check, I/O, and
external.
*dumpid
identifies a 1-character to 97-character string that is to be assigned to the dump
(may be truncated to 80 characters for a z/Architecture guest). If specified,
*dumpid must be the last operand you enter on the command line.
1. The DUMP PSW command is valid for a z/Architecture virtual machine only if
SET PSWTRANS (with ALL or DISPLAY option) has been issued previously.
2. DUMP PSW ALL dumps the PSW as a 128-bit PSW for z/Architecture virtual
machines.
3. z/Architecture expands the PSW to 128 bits to accommodate 64-bit instruction
addresses. The expanded PSWs are referenced in the command output as
″PSWG″. The SET PSWTRANS command allows the PSWs from a
z/Architecture virtual machine to be shown and manipulated in the 64-bit
ESA/390 format.
