Use QUERY MAXLDEV to display the maximum number of logical devices that can<br />

exist at the same time.<br />

1. The number of logical devices may be greater than the maximum specified on<br />

the comm<strong>and</strong> response. This can happen when the limit is lowered to a value<br />

less than the current number of logical devices. If this occurs, the existing<br />

logical devices will be unaffected, but no new logical devices can be created<br />

until the number of logical devices is less than the maximum allowed.<br />

2. All logical devices will be created with a device address less than the limit in<br />

effect.<br />
