Use the SET VMLAN command to set system-wide attributes for VM Guest LAN
support.
LIMit PERSistent INFinite|maxcount
Set the maximum number of PERSISTENT VM LAN segments allowed on the
VM system at one time. The value maxcount must be a decimal number in the
range of 0–1024. The default state of this attribute is INFinite.
LIMit TRANSient INFinite|maxcount
Set the maximum number of TRANSIENT VM LAN segments allowed on the
VM system at one time. The value maxcount must be a decimal number in the
range of 0–1024. The default state of this attribute is INFinite.
ACNT|ACCOUNTing SYSTEM ON|OFF
Set the default accounting state for VM LAN segments owned by the SYSTEM
user ID. The default state of this attribute is OFF. Class B users are authorized
to override this setting on the DEFINE LAN and SET LAN commands.
ACNT|ACCOUNTing USER ON|OFF
Set the default accounting state for VM LAN segments owned by individual
users. The default state of this attribute is OFF. Class B users are authorized to
override this setting on the DEFINE LAN and SET LAN commands.
1. Use the QUERY VMLAN command to find out the current attributes in effect for
the running CP system.
2. The SET VMLAN statement can be used to set a limit that is lower than the
current number of VM LAN segments. This will not force the elimination of any
