Use the SET <strong>VM</strong>LAN comm<strong>and</strong> to set system-wide attributes for <strong>VM</strong> Guest LAN<br />

support.<br />

LIMit PERSistent INFinite|maxcount<br />

Set the maximum number of PERSISTENT <strong>VM</strong> LAN segments allowed on the<br />

<strong>VM</strong> system at one time. The value maxcount must be a decimal number in the<br />

range of 0–1024. The default state of this attribute is INFinite.<br />

LIMit TRANSient INFinite|maxcount<br />

Set the maximum number of TRANSIENT <strong>VM</strong> LAN segments allowed on the<br />

<strong>VM</strong> system at one time. The value maxcount must be a decimal number in the<br />

range of 0–1024. The default state of this attribute is INFinite.<br />

ACNT|ACCOUNTing SYSTEM ON|OFF<br />

Set the default accounting state for <strong>VM</strong> LAN segments owned by the SYSTEM<br />

user ID. The default state of this attribute is OFF. Class B users are authorized<br />

to override this setting on the DEFINE LAN <strong>and</strong> SET LAN comm<strong>and</strong>s.<br />

ACNT|ACCOUNTing USER ON|OFF<br />

Set the default accounting state for <strong>VM</strong> LAN segments owned by individual<br />

users. The default state of this attribute is OFF. Class B users are authorized to<br />

override this setting on the DEFINE LAN <strong>and</strong> SET LAN comm<strong>and</strong>s.<br />

1. Use the QUERY <strong>VM</strong>LAN comm<strong>and</strong> to find out the current attributes in effect for<br />

the running <strong>CP</strong> system.<br />

2. The SET <strong>VM</strong>LAN statement can be used to set a limit that is lower than the<br />

current number of <strong>VM</strong> LAN segments. This will not force the elimination of any<br />
