Privilege Class: B
Use QUERY CONTROLLER to display information about the z/VM TCP/IP virtual
machines used to manage OSA Express devices associated with virtual switches.
ALL
displays information for all possible virtual switch controllers. This is the default
value when an explicit NAME userid is omitted.
NAME userid
restricts the response to the virtual switch controller specified.
This example displays all the available detail for CONTROLLER.

QUERY CONTROLLER
Each virtual switch that is currently managed is listed, along with the current setting
for the Controller option.
Available
indicates if the virtual switch controller is available to control an additional set of
OSA Express devices associated with the virtual switch.
VDEV Range
identifies the device range where the OSA Express devices associated with a
virtual switch can be attached. VDEV Range: * indicates that the virtual device
