A boost for business in Arucas with the 2nd annual “Arucas
Empresarial” Business and Enterprise Conference 2023
This November, the
municipality of Arucas
was immersed in a vibrant
and entrepreneurial
atmosphere at
the 2nd annual "Arucas
Empresarial" Business
and Enterprise Conference.
The event was organised by the
Department of Economic Promotion
and Tourism at the Arucas Town Council,
and took place on 21nd and 22rd November
2023. It left an indelible mark, consolidating
itself as a milestone in business
gatherings in the Canary Islands.
Thematic Diversity and Innovation
Recognition
This year’s programme addressed many
key business topics in detail. It covered
key issues such as entrepreneurship and
business development, the entrepreneurial
culture among young people, the
influence of digital nomads, the crucial
role of business associations, and took
and in-depth look at the challenges and
opportunities faced by local entrepreneurs.
In addition, the event highlighted
its continued commitment to creativity
and innovation through the award of the
best innovative business idea.
The Nuevo Teatro Viejo de Arucas and
the Plaza del Pintor Guillermo Sureda
were the epicentres for some unforgettable
experiences. From chefs’ masterclasses,
where culinary visionaries
shared their business experiences and
secrets of success, to an influencers’
round table session that explored the
impact of social media in the business
world, each event was a unique opportunity
to learn, share knowledge and
make valuable connections.
Following last year’s resounding success,
the 2nd annual Conference not
only consolidated its position as a business
benchmark, but also ventured into
new strategic areas. This year, they focused
especially on young talent and
the restaurant sector, marking a crucial
step towards the consolidation of a
strong business fabric throughout the
north of Gran Canaria.
As Juan Jesús Facundo, Mayor of Arucas,
pointed out, "our municipality is made
up of strong men and women whose
experiences can serve as an example for
all entrepreneurs looking to launch new
business projects". The initiative of the
City Council, in collaboration with the
Department of Economic Promotion
and Tourism under the direction of Óliver
Armas, seeks to give visibility to existing
initiatives and open the way to new
projects, making the most of the synergies
generated.
In keeping with the objectives set out
by the Arucas Town Council's Economic
and Social Reactivation Plan, the workshops
succeeded in attracting and retaining
talented young entrepreneurs
and business people. This initiative not
only galvanised economic activity in the
municipality, it also generated employment
and promoted sustainable economic
development, thus contributing
to the achievement of the municipality’s
strategic objectives.
The Promotion of Arucas as a Business

With a clearly defined focus on positioning
Arucas as a business destination, the
2nd annual "Arucas Empresarial" Business
and Enterprise Conference 2023
stands as a key milestone in driving forward
