departure. We depart for Kiev with a
change of plane in Frankfurt.
KieV. Upon arrival in Kiev, we transfer to
our cruise ship, the MS Fidelio. Balance of
the day is at leisure. Tonight we enjoy our
Welcome Aboard Dinner.
KieV. Ukraine’s charming capital is a
tourist’s delight with its numerous
monuments and unique architecture. Our
city tour includes “Vladimir’s Old Town” –
the place where Prince Vladimir the
Baptist founded his Kremlin and built the
first Christian church in Kievan Rus State.
See the Golden Gate of Kiev, University
Building, Opera House, Kreshchatik
Street, Arch of Friendship Monument and
St. Vladimir’s Cathedral.
KieV. Today is at leisure to explore Kiev on
your own or join an optional tour.
KaneV. This city is one of the main inland
river ports on the Dnieper River. Ukrainian
poet Taras Shevchenko, considered a
founder of Ukrainian literature, is buried on
a hill overlooking the river. We will visit a
memorial museum dedicated to him.
KreMenchug. We arrive at this
industrial city and embark on an excursion
to an agricultural village where we will
have the opportunity to visit a local school,
a farm and some of the peasant houses.
dnepropetroVsK. Enjoy a city tour of
Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine’s fourth largest
city with one million inhabitants. A vital
industrial center of Ukraine, it was one of
the key centers of the nuclear arms and
space industries of the former Soviet
Union. It is home to Yuzhmash, a major
space and ballistic missile designer and
manufacturer.

ZaporoZhYe. Today we enjoy a tour of
the old city of Zaporozhye. In the 15th to
17th centuries this was the site of the
Cossack fortress Zaporozkskaya Sech,
and so we will visit the Cossack Glory
Museum. An optional tour will be offered
to see a Cossack Equestrian show, in
which the Cossacks demonstrate their
horsemanship and skills with the use of
firearms and swords.
Kherson. Our ship will approach the
Dnieper Delta and the town of Kherson,
situated on beautiful lands famous for their
vineyards. Enjoy the city tour – one of the
greenest cities in the Southern Ukraine.
Stroll along the picturesque embankment
and visit St. Catherine Cathedral and the
Fine Arts Museum.
odessa. Early morning arrival at the port
of Ochakov, from where we embark on our
sightseeing tour of nearby Odessa, known
as the “Pearl of the Black Sea”. We will
see attractions such as the Opera House
and the famous Potemkin Stairs which rise
460 feet from the sea to the upper levels of
the city. As well we will see the Museum of
Western and Oriental Art and the Museum
of Archaeology – all symbols of the city’s
splendid past and superb present. Lunch
will be at a local restaurant, and this
evening is our Farewell Dinner on the ship.
diseMBarKation / hoMe. Time to bid
farewell to your new friends after your
unforgettable journey. We fly home via
Frankfurt.
