rom the gentle rolling hills, to the
snowy mountain peaks, to the picture-book
villages, Austria is one of Europe's most
scenic countries. On this delightful twoweek
holiday we combine a week on a
Danube River cruise visiting Austria,
Germany, Hungary and Slovakia, and a
week at a typical, charming Austrian spa
hotel in Bad Hofgastein.
We fly to Munich and transfer to Passau and
our river boat. The cruise will take us
through such varied and scenic areas as the
picturesque Danube Loop at Schlogen, and
the legendary Wachau Valley. We will cruise
aboard the MS Elegant, a First Class, yet
informal floating hotel. Aboard you can relax
in the lounge or bar, or take a dip in the
pool. There are comfortable lounge chairs
on deck, and a beauty salon. Each cabin
has twin beds, private bathroom (shower
only), telephone, radio and climate control.
All cabins are outside. All meals are
included while on the cruise. We have
included sightseeing tours to Vienna,
Budapest, Bratislava and Kalocsa.
Bad Hofgastein, Austria, has had mineral
baths since the 17th century, when it was
fashionable to take the waters. Today it is a
thriving, pleasant resort town with many
mineral and hot springs still in use. We will
stay at the First Class Winter Palace Hotel.
This hotel has a large thermal pool, whirlpool,
steam bath, indoor tennis, lounge with nightly
live music and twice daily aquatic exercise
