o place holds a fascination for the Western<br />
world quite like the Orient. Along the shores of<br />
the South China Sea ancient temples stand<br />
amidst modern skyscrapers while villagers<br />
maintain a peaceful way of life unchanged for<br />
generations. The diversity of peoples and<br />
cultures in the myriad of countries we will visit<br />
offers almost endless opportunities for<br />
exploration. This tour begins with a three-night<br />
stay in Beijing, China and concludes with a twonight<br />
stay in Singapore.<br />
Cruising is a wonderful way to see the Orient<br />
and we have chosen one of the newest and<br />
grandest ships in the Princess Line, the<br />
Diamond Princess. With features never seen<br />
before, this floating resort is the creme-de-lacreme<br />
of cruise ships. Facilities of the Diamond<br />
include two state-of-the-art show lounges for<br />
after dinner entertainment choices, a virtual<br />
reality theatre and four swimming pools. There is<br />
also a pool in the health spa, a 40 foot lap pool<br />
and six whirlpools. The Las Vegas style casino<br />
has slots, blackjack, roulette, poker and crap<br />
tables. Activities include dance lessons,<br />
aerobics, wine tasting, first-run movies, bridge<br />
tournaments and much more.<br />
Dining on this ship has set new standards with<br />
the International main dining room and four<br />
themed dining rooms. There is also a 24 hour<br />
indoor/outdoor restaurant for casual evenings,<br />
an outdoor grill, pizzeria, a patisserie, ice-cream<br />
parlour and late night snacks.<br />
The staterooms are spacious and exquisitely<br />
furnished. All rooms have twin beds that convert<br />
to a queen size bed if required, colour TV with<br />
in-house movies, audio system, individual<br />
climate control, refrigerator, telephone, in-room<br />
