hree of the world’s most revered spas are in
Austria and Hungary. Famous for their spectacular
settings and extraordinary treatments, these spas
are unsurpassed the world over. On this unique tour
we will stay at each of them and enjoy the full range
of spa services that they provide.
We begin with 3 nights in Budapest (“City of Spas”)
at the First Class Danubius Health Spa Resort,
located on Margaret Island between Buda and Pest.
Its central location is surrounded by mature trees,
medieval ruins, English and Japanese Gardens and
even a small zoo. The island has horse drawn
carriages, walking paths, row boats, bicycles and
lidos which make it the perfect natural getaway. All
rooms have a balcony overlooking either the Danube
River or Margaret Island. The island’s natural thermal
springs feed the hotel’s pools.
The next 7 nights will be in Heviz, Hungary at the
5-star Lotus Therme Hotel & Spa, located near the
“Sea of the Hungarians” and the world’s largest
naturally preserved thermal lake - famous for its hot
and cold springs and its muds’ dramatic healing
components. A highlight on this tour will be our
included “Cure & Wellness Package” at the Spa
Therapy Section of the Lotus, which will provide
complete health treatments, fitness tests and many
specialized regimes. The hotel utilizes the renowned
curative Heviz waters which are highly effective for
rheumatism, loco motor diseases, osteoporosis and
inflammatory diseases of the joint, as well as
convalescent therapy after fractures and
degenerative nerve conditions. The various therapies
used include massage, mud-packs, electrotherapy,
Finnish saunas and steam baths, to name just a few.
The unique Dead Sea Salt chamber is a 45 minute
relaxation treatment that has the same effect as a 3day
stay by the Dead Sea, after which you can enjoy
a spot of tea at the herbal tea station. Each of the
therapeutic options is provided by a staff of
experienced, English-speaking physicians.
We finish our tour in Baden Bei Wein, Austria
(located by the Vienna Woods just minutes from
Vienna) - a location favoured since the times of the
Romans by the likes of Czar Peter the Great,
Beethoven, Napoleon, Emperor Franz Joseph and
