e begin this unique tour with a 2-night
stay in the romantic city of Venice. With its
marvelous canals, beautiful architecture and
Byzantine atmosphere, Venice never fails to
enchant its visitors.
After our stay in Venice we travel into
Slovenia, a wonderfully scenic country that
offers more diversity than most countries
many times its size. Slovenia’s wide range of
climatic zones include beaches, snowcapped
mountains, hills awash in
grapevines, wide plains blanketed in
sunflowers and warm Mediterranean
breezes up to the foothills of the Alps.
Culturally, there are Gothic churches,
baroque palaces, romantic castles and art
nouveau buildings. The country’s greatest
asset though is its people, well known to be
welcoming, generous, multilingual and
broad-minded. Our touring here will include,
among many scenic drives, the impressive
caves of Postojna, the lively medieval capital
city of Ljubljana and the fairytale, emeraldgreen
resort town of Lake Bled.
We continue our journey into Croatia, whose
endless coastline of glistening azure blue
sea is speckled with more than a thousand
islands, quaint villages, bustling port towns,
regal castles and Roman ruins. Our first stop
in Croatia will be a 2-night stay in the capital
city of Zagreb, a vivacious European
metropolis and the country's economic,
intellectual and cultural centre. From here
we travel to lush Plitvice Lakes National Park
with its pristine forest, mountain streams,
deep gorges and magnificent lakes, before

From venice to Dubrovnik

heading to the coast and the charming port
towns of Zadar, Trogir and Split. We also visit
intriguing Mostar in Bosina & Herzegovina,
where we see the famous old bridge and absorb
the Turkish atmosphere of this historic city.
Finally we enjoy a 3-night stay in the Jewel of
the Adriatic - Dubrovnik.
We will fly with British Airways, with a change in
London each way. In order to make our return
journey more comfortable we will overnight in
London on the way home.
