Determines how MIDI messages will be received from external<br />

MIDI devices.<br />

* At the factory settings this is set to “OFF.”<br />

* Set this “OFF” if you want note messages of the channel<br />

specified as the Arpeggio Control Channel or RPS Control<br />

Channel to control arpeggios or RPS from an external<br />

device.<br />

Specifies the channel on which note messages from an external<br />

MIDI device will control arpeggios when Auto Channel<br />

is “OFF.” When note messages of the specified channel are<br />

received from an external MIDI device, an arpeggio can be<br />

generated according to that note data, and will sound the<br />

current part. At the factory settings this is set to “16.”<br />

* This setting is ignored if Auto Channel is “ON.”<br />

Specifies the channel on which note messages from an external<br />

MIDI device will control RPS when Auto CHANNEL is<br />

“OFF.” RPS can be played by receiving note messages on the<br />

specified channel. At the factory settings this is set to “15.”<br />

* This setting is ignored if Auto Channel is “ON.”<br />

Determines whether the D2 will receive system exclusive<br />

messages. When this setting is “OFF,” system exclusive<br />

messages will not be received.<br />

SOFT THRU If this is “ON,” MIDI messages received at the MIDI IN connector<br />

will be re-transmitted without change from the MIDI<br />

OUT connector.<br />

DEVICE ID<br />

(bulk receive)<br />

This setting is necessary only if data is being transmitted<br />

separately to two or more D2 units. Otherwise, you should<br />

not change this setting. At the factory settings, the device ID<br />

number is set to “17.”<br />

* If you forget the device ID that was used when bulk data<br />

was saved on an external device, it will no longer be possible<br />

to receive the saved bulk data.<br />

Data that was saved on an external device can be sent back<br />

to the D2.<br />

OFF:<br />

The patches of each part can be<br />
