tuannty fyue compleit, and no anuall rent till then, but only to interteen his<br />

brother Thomas as becometh, at scools and elswhere, in food and rayment;<br />

whatsoeuer caus, at what tearmes so euer, or vpon whatsoeuer conditiones, th* my<br />

name be not heard in publict or priuat for debt maters, alswell not nominat as<br />

nominat : And becaus, by vertue <strong>of</strong> the seuerall prouisiones made to my children<br />

by their seuerall assedationes, they haue no right to enter to the reall and actuall<br />

possession <strong>of</strong> their seuerall townes and lands till the nixt Witsonday tearme efter<br />

my death and deceisse, so th t<br />

they haue nothing to interteen them in the interim,<br />

betuix my death and the Witsonday <strong>of</strong> their entry, therfor I declare, and ordeen<br />

be thir presents, thl they haue mantenance in meat and clothes from my said air<br />

and successour for the tyme, honestly as beseemeth their ranke, and degrie, and<br />

birth, according to the forme <strong>of</strong> living in this land and countrey where we haue<br />

been borne and bred. Item, I, the said Sir Thomas Burnet <strong>of</strong> Leyis, ordeens be<br />

thir presents my said air and successour to fullnll all the articles, clauses, and<br />
