sponsorship <strong>of</strong> workshops for teachers,<br />

and development <strong>of</strong> curriculum and<br />

other materials to help teach aerospace<br />

education to all grade levels.<br />

Aerospace Education in All Grades<br />

<strong>Cadet</strong> Programs. CAP cadets are young men and women, ages 12 to 21, who are interested in<br />

aerospace and in community service. <strong>The</strong> cadet program is structured to use aerospace as a vehicle to<br />

help teach leadership and management skills, moral leadership and physical fitness. <strong>The</strong> program<br />

emphasizes activities and involvement <strong>of</strong> the cadets.<br />

CAP was founded in 1941, and for 60 years, the CAP members have been involved in service to<br />

their communities and their nation.<br />
