ATM, or the Asynchronous Transfer Mode, is a network<br />

technology which use is very rapidly increasing. ATM can<br />

be used to transfer sound, picture <strong>and</strong> data. ATM is based<br />

on data transfer with cells of the same size which reserve<br />

the line only <strong>for</strong> the duration of the actual transmission.<br />
