50 DIA-FLO ® ACTUATOR
The Dia-Flo Actuator, diaphragm driven and pneumatically
operated, is a process proven actuator suitable for both
the Pure-Flo and Dia-Flo product line. The Dia-Flo Actuator
is recommended as an alternate to the Advantage actuator
for applications in which the line pressure or plant air
available pressure is not within the advantage actuator
parameters.
AVAILABLE SIZES
The Dia-Flo actuator is available in seven interchangeable
sizes and can be readily mounted to any size
valve with the proper size bonnet. The broad selection
of sizes ensures closure against a range of line pressures
with almost any plant air available pressure. The
Dia-Flo actuator is typically utilized when the line
pressure or plant air available parameters exceed
those permitted by the Advantage actuator.
ACTUATOR MATERIALS
The actuator covers are supplied standard as aluminum
for lighter weight and corrosion resistance
and are also available in ductile iron for durable
strength.
CORROSION RESISTANT COATINGS
Available coatings include atmospheric resistant white
epoxy, Kynar ® PVDF and Nylon.
ACTUATOR DIAPHRAGMS
The actuator diaphragm is a molded, nylon reinforced
oil-resistant elastomer, designed for long life at air
pressures up to 85 psi (5.9 bar).
VALVE BODY DIAPHRAGMS
The selection of body diaphragms includes all Pure-Flo
elastomer and PTFE Diaphragms.
TRAVEL STOP
An externally adjustable Travel Stop, which prevents
diaphragm over-closure and prolongs the diaphragm
life, is featured as standard on all Fail Closed actuators,
with the exception of the smallest Dia-Flo actuator,
the 3212.
ACCESSORIES
Available accessories include Adjustable Opening
Stop, Adjustable Travel Stop, Visual Position Indicator,
Wrench or Handwheel Operated Manual Overrides,
Mechanical and Proximity Limit Switches and a Moore
or Conoflow Positioner.
