The Bio-Tek Valve body is manufactured from a
316L stainless steel forging and is available in O.D.
tube weld ends, Tri-Clamp fractional ferrules, as well
as DIN/ISO weld end connections. Other specialty end
connections available upon request include;
Swagelok ® , Cajon VCR ® and Cajon VCO ® . Standard
O.D. tube and DIN/ISO end connections are 1"
(25mm) in length to facilitate orbital welding.
Available Bio-Tek Valve sizes are 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2" (DN
8, 10, and 15). The Bio-Tek Valve features the same
body design which allows the inlet and outlet ports to
be customized to the desired tube size. This design
feature allows the same size bonnet, diaphragm and
actuator to be interchangeable among all Bio-Tek
Valves regardless of size, facilitating maintenance and
reducing the number of replacement parts.
BIO-TEK BONNET
The manual Bio-Tek bonnet is available in two styles:
the Standard Model “16”, and the Sealed Hygienic
Internal Model “17”.
For critical systems, model “17”, provides a hygienic
secondary containment boundary prohibiting the
accumulation of fluids in the bonnet area during
washdown protocols. The Hygienic Internals are a
precautionary measure utilized at the engineer’s discretion
to prevent the loss of a process batch in the
case of a diaphragm failure resulting in the process
fluid contacting the bonnet internals.
The Bio-Tek bonnet model “16” is unsealed and is
the more economical choice for less critical applications.
BIO-TEK DIAPHRAGM
The Bio-Tek Valve is available with four FDA compliant
diaphragms, two grades of EPDM (ethylenepropylenediene-monomer)
and two grades of PTFE (polymerized-Tetrafluoroethylene).
The PTFE Diaphragm is a
two piece design with a PTFE face and an FDA compliant
EPDM backing cushion.
BIO-TEK FABRICATIONS
The Bio-Tek Valve is readily available in all standard
Pure-Flo fabrications: GMP ® , Sterile Access, Zero
Static, Zero Static “T” and with Tube Extensions.
