were collected in different seasons from spring to autumn, <strong>the</strong>y are affected by <strong>the</strong><br />

annual cycle which is most pronounced in <strong>the</strong> upper layers. In summary <strong>the</strong> surface<br />

layers show a ra<strong>the</strong>r heterogeneous picture most likely due to <strong>the</strong> seasonal transition<br />

in late fall which could be noticed as well to <strong>the</strong> ra<strong>the</strong>r stormy wea<strong>the</strong>r. The<br />

conditions in intermediate layers tended fur<strong>the</strong>r to warmer and more saline values.<br />
