Urban:<br />

• From T1 to T8, rates of amputations among residents with diabetes of all urban neighbourhood<br />

<strong>in</strong>come qu<strong>in</strong>tile groups rema<strong>in</strong>ed relatively stable over time.<br />

• The disparity between U1 and U5 rema<strong>in</strong>ed similar between <strong>the</strong> first time period T1 and <strong>the</strong> last<br />

time period T8. The rate ratio of U1 compared to U5 was 2.53 <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> first time period and 2.77 <strong>in</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> last time period; <strong>the</strong>se are not statistically significantly different. The absolute difference gap <strong>in</strong><br />

amputations among residents with diabetes compar<strong>in</strong>g U1 to U5 also did not statistically change;<br />

11.26 per 1,000 more amputations <strong>in</strong> U1 compared to U5 <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> first time period and 9.92 more per<br />

1,000 <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> last time period.<br />

• In T1, 40.2% of amputations <strong>in</strong> residents with diabetes were accounted for <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> 25.4% of <strong>the</strong> rural<br />

population <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> lowest neighbourhood <strong>in</strong>come qu<strong>in</strong>tile group (R1), with <strong>the</strong> G<strong>in</strong>i coefficient of<br />

0.138 <strong>in</strong>dicat<strong>in</strong>g a statistically significant disparity.<br />

• In T8, 45.9% of amputations <strong>in</strong> residents with diabetes were accounted for <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> 26.2% of <strong>the</strong><br />

population <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> lowest neighbourhood <strong>in</strong>come qu<strong>in</strong>tile group (R1), with <strong>the</strong> G<strong>in</strong>i coefficient of<br />

0.255 <strong>in</strong>dicat<strong>in</strong>g a statistically significant disparity.<br />
