WHAT I CAN OFFER EMPLOYERS
I have an outgoing personality and have empathy for and an interest in people. I am a good team player
would conduct and develop excellent consumer relations. I have very effective communications skills and
I am told that I am personable, with persuasive and selling abilities. I am versatile and flexible.
I can sell your company either by communicating its products or services to your customers or by
developing new business opportunities. I have learnt on the Business Innovation Programme to assess a
company's innovative processes and procedures and how they generate new business. This has given me
an understanding of how a company works internally and in turn relates to its markets.
The learning acquired on this course by me, coupled with my analytical legal background and my
communication skills, enable me to assess business opportunities and develop them with a clear strategic
overview, to generate new business and markets.
PLANS AND OBJECTIVES FOR FUTURE CAREER
I would like to work in any area of Communications, PR, Sales and Business Development and any area
of the media including print or broadcast journalism in the business field.
I am open to working for a company that has an international market - possibly China. I would relish the
opportunity to work for a company in the Chinese market. I have been studying the Chinese language for
the past two years and wish to become fluent.
I want to work in an innovative environment where I can bring my creative and outgoing personality, and
my versatility, to bear in helping to manage change or develop innovative ideas for a company or
organisation.
I have an interest in current affairs and have developed an interest in business particularly. The Business
Innovation Programme has given me a foundation in business methodology and the confidence and ability
to implement my change of career. I intend to put it in to practice.
PERSONAL INTERESTS
I am interested in business, international trade, current affairs, the media and languages. I have been
studying Mandarin at the UCD Chinese Confucius Institute for the past two years.
I retain a strong interest in broadcast and print journalism. I am involved on a voluntary basis with a college
radio production to enable older people to make their own programmes for Dun Laoghaire Senior Week.
I enjoy creative expression and am a keen piano, guitar and ukulele player. I continue to
play socially from time to time. Health and fitness is important to me and I run and play
indoor soccer once a week.
