WHAT I CAN OFFER EMPLOYERS
As someone who has been involved in the design and delivery of award winning buildings, I am skilled
at applying balanced, critical thinking to all aspects of a project.
Flexibility, commitment, and the capacity to deal with complex concurrent projects and issues are
particular strengths. My experience and senior role within Mitchell Associates over the last twelve years
has required an ability to concurrently manage the following: architectural design & contract
administration, completion deadlines, design decisions, the client relationship, design teams, in house
staff management, fee collection and financial planning, compliance with statutory obligations,
compliance with Quality Assurance procedures.
As a committed, focused team player, I am equally comfortable leading a team or reporting to a team
leader.
Through the DCU Business Innovation Programme, I have added to these skills, having completed
modules in Project Management, Market Feasibility Research, and Innovation and New Product
Development, as well as in carrying out a market research and developing a marketing strategy for a
design practice.
PLANS AND OBJECTIVES FOR FUTURE CAREER
My experience as a senior member of a multi-disciplinary practice has required that I develop a broader
range of skills in addition to my formal architectural training.
Above all, I enjoy finding solutions to the wide variety of challenges presented in a design project, in order
to reach a successful completion.
As someone who passionately believes in the benefits of good design in both physical and digital
applications, I would have a particular interest in creative roles within a design led industry.
I would equally welcome an opportunity to change direction and to utilise my design, analytical and
creative skills within the broader business services sector.
PERSONAL INTERESTS
Having studied and lived in France, I enjoy keeping up my conversational French, though travel, film, food
and literature. Walking, swimming, art.
