WHAT I CAN OFFER EMPLOYERS As set out in my key skills, I have extensive experience operating within the Civil Engineering and construction sector. I also have focused on Environmental Assessment and Drainage Design aspects of a wide range of development projects in the last 10 years of my working career. I have obtained FETAC Level 6 qualification “Site Suitability on Site Waste Water Treatment” in 2009 and also have developed competency with using AutoCAD software for design layout. I consider that I am experienced, focused and have a proven ability to operate effectively to deliver effectively on company and client's requirements and expectations. I also have the required flexibility to operate equally effectively both in the “office design type” environment and in the “on-site project” environment. Resulting from my participation in the Business Innovation Programme with the DCU Ryan Academy since August 2011 I have gained additional valuable insights into Innovation, Market Research and Project Management techniques. I consider that the integration of these additional skills in conjunction with my existing acquired technological and career experience skills will be of invaluable assistance to me in the future development of my career. PLANS AND OBJECTIVES FOR FUTURE CAREER At this stage I would consider that I have two principal options in relation to future career development, based on my previous career experience to date and my current level of technical knowledge. The first option would be primarily to operate on a consultancy type basis offering technical services in relation to engineering related matters and with an emphasis on environmental type projects. However, based on my company placement role as has been developed within the Business Innovation Programme, I have developed basic knowledge of energy efficiency management technologies business and I can consider that I can utilize my own strong technical engineering and experience of construction development projects in conjunction with my acquired Innovation & Market Research knowledge to be of benefit to a role within the Building Energy Management sector. However I would in general be willing to consider any appropriate position within the general Civil Engineering sector in which I could apply my existing technological skills effectively PERSONAL INTERESTS General interest in Sports and Current Affairs. Specific interest in squash and have been an active member of Curragh Squash Club Co. Kildare since 1987. Participant in Leinster Senior Squash Leagues and Masters Squash Tournaments (No.11 National Ranking).
