My varied teaching experience and extensive training enables me to apply myself to a variety of situations<br />
and roles.<br />
• I am PASSIONATE about providing Individual Learning Plans and INSTILLING a lifelong LOVE of<br />
learning.<br />
• I enjoy coaching children with specific learning needs in reading and phonological awareness. Mary,<br />
a 7-year old former pupil with Dyslexia inspired me to learn more about this condition and how to<br />
tailor strategies for children with similar needs.<br />
• The Business Innovation Programme has improved my ability to apply even move creative tools and<br />
techniques within my area of expertise.<br />
At present I am looking into the feasibility of opening a montessori school with a particular emphasis on<br />
the Irish language. I am also looking for teaching opportunities in the Special Education sector.<br />

co-operative skills have been enhanced by participation on the Business Innovation Programme<br />
PLANS AND OBJECTIVES FOR FUTURE CAREER<br />
I am seeking a suitable position in direct teaching or ancillary services for children or young adults in<br />
mainstream or special educational settings, specifically looking to:<br />
• Support children/young adults in educational settings with reading/phonological awareness<br />
• Adapt, implement and present lessons to meet individual/small group needs using the concrete,<br />
representation, abstract instructional approach (CRA)<br />
• Working with parents, teachers and other educational/medical bodies to support children's/young<br />
adult's learning inside and outside the classroom<br />
• Working in private/public schools, educational services, programmes, agencies, educational<br />
institutions and residential settings<br />
• Work in companies providing educational materials or services, for example publishing companies<br />
and manufacturers of educational materials and technology<br />
