EV<strong>AN</strong>GELISTIC CHURCH<br />
A unique worship style paradigmn for church ministry which views evangelism as its<br />
primary reason for being and seeks to accomplish the Great Commission through unique<br />
outreach efforts to specific target groups in its community.<br />
EXHORTATION, GIFT OF<br />
Exhortation is urging others to act on the basis of their faith in God, advising others how<br />
to accomplish specific goals in life and/or ministry, cautioning others against actions that are<br />
potentially dangerous and motivating others in the Christian life and ministry. Those gifted in<br />
exhortation usually develop simple strategies to accomplish goals and effectively encourage and<br />
motivate others to remain faithful in their service for God.<br />
GIFT ASSIMILATION<br />
Many Christians will be saved in a church or will begin attending a church where the<br />
dominant spiritual gift in the church is different from the Christian's dominant spiritual gift.<br />
Then because of example, influence, teaching and other factors, the Christian begins to assimilate<br />
a spiritual gift that was not indigeneous or dominant to him/her.<br />
GIFT COLONIZATION<br />
Because of information about types of worship styles that is available and the<br />
accessability of that church worship style because of improved transportaion, believers tend to<br />
gravitate to a worship style that reflects their dominant spiritual gift and the church becomes a<br />
colony of like-gifted believers.<br />
GIFT GRAVITATION<br />
In the American culture that is dominated by information (the Internet) and transportation<br />
(the Interstate), people began attending a local church where the dominant spiritual gift that is<br />
exercized in the congregation is their dominant spiritual gift.<br />
GIVING, GIFT OF<br />
Giving is investing financial and other resources in ways that further the purposes of God<br />
through individuals and/or ministries. Givers are inclined to be generous in financially<br />
underwriting a wide variety of ministry projects.
