8.2.9 Multicast Settings<br />

These settings allow you to perform multicast <strong>and</strong> audio broadcast functions. For details, see Multicast<br />

<strong>and</strong> Audio Broadcast later in this chapter.<br />

� Multicast: By default the IP address is 224.1.1.2, <strong>and</strong> port number is 8300 to send the video <strong>and</strong><br />

audio stream. Optionally, you can specify a Password for hosts to activate multicast. Click the<br />

Camera <strong>and</strong> Audio buttons to select which camera <strong>and</strong> audio are accessible through multicast.<br />

� Receive Broadcast Audio: By default the IP address is 224.1.1.3, <strong>and</strong> port number is 8400 to<br />

receive audio broadcasting.<br />

� Network Card: Select another network card, if available, to run the Multicast service on a<br />

different network. Since the Multicast service can take a lot of b<strong>and</strong>width when enabled,<br />

separating it from the main network is advised whenever possible.
