Abstract
Introduction: Before the epidemiological problem that the chronic - degenerative diseases
and the impact present in the services of health, we implement the plan of autocuidados
care inside his units. The program I design with the intention of helping and giving
fulfillment, “SWEET LIFE "shaped the program called “Model of autocuidado “for
persons with diabetes Mellitus in the Club. I target: To present the experience with the
model of attention in a period of 12 months. Methodology: The work was of type
intervention descriptively, observational, descriptively, analytical and deductively
longitudinally in 33 ambulatory patients, using the process of infirmary as principal
warning, with base the model of the deficit of autocuidado, we rely on the institutional
support of the State University of Miracle, Academic Unit of Sciences of the Health,
Career of Infirmary and Navy of the Ecuador and the club " SWEET LIFE ", the
instruments of compilation and processing of the information, they allowed the analysis
and the explanation of the problematics, this way to control the disease to diminish the
complications of the diabetic patients who belong to our sample for which we will try to
elaborate an offer directed to finding alternatives of behavioral change, And hereby to
improve the educational process, from the scientific and humanistic point of view. A
descriptive survey was realized; using a questionnaire that partner contemplated
demographic aspects since it is age, sex, education, exercise, supply, care of the feet and
pharmacological treatment. Knowledge of the diabetic user on his autocuidado. Results:
They were forceful in the control of the levels of glucose. Conclusions: there was
demonstrated that the integration of infirmary in the programs of attention to the chronic
sufferings as a whole with the interdisciplinary equipment of health and the relatives, they
are necessary to refocus functions and specific contributions across models of attention of
integral infirmary.
