At 7:55 a.m. all doors will be locked except the entrance from the large parking lot to thecorridor between the auditorium and gym buildings and the entrance from the flagpole area tothe corridor between the library and gym buildings.G. EARLY DISMISSALSStudents who are requesting an early dismissal must present a note signed by theirparent/guardian or a medical professional appointment card to the flagpole security station nolater than the morning of the early dismissal request. Students must sign out at the highschool office prior to leaving the building during school hours. Students returning to schoolfrom an appointment must sign in at the high school office and present verification that theyattended the appointment. Students may not take the entire day for an appointment. Failure toreturn promptly after an appointment may result in disciplinary action. Students who leave schoolfor an early dismissal are responsible for any missed school work during their absence. Parentspicking up students for an early dismissal may be required to report to the office.NOTE: A student does not have permission to leave school because of an illness if the nurseor an administrator does not deem it necessary. If the student does leave school withoutpermission, it will be counted as an unexcused absence. An unexcused absence may beexcused by obtaining a medical note for the day in question. The medical note must contain:1. Student Name2. Date of Visit to doctor3. Dates the student may be excused from school and should return to school4. Signature of attending health care providerFailure to provide all of the above information on the note may be reason to deny the note as anacceptable excuse.III. STUDENT ACTIVITIESLebanon High School offers a wide variety of activities for students. All students areencouraged to participate in activities and to become involved in the overall school program.A. INTRAMURAL AND INTERSCHOLASTIC PROGRAMS1. Intramural programs are offered based on student interest.2. New Activities: students must petition the approval of the Principal.3. Suspended Students: suspended students may not participate in or attend activities whilesuspended.B. STUDENT COUNCIL1. The student council is the student governing body of the school. Members are elected bytheir peers. LHS is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Student Councils and theNational Association of Student Councils.10
