C. CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY CENTERStudents attending the Career and Technology Center in the afternoon or all day should sign in atthe high school office if they return to the high school after their CTC dismissal. Morning CTCstudents must take the bus to the CTC and return to Lebanon High School on the bus unlessspecial permission is received from the CTC administration. Students who return to Lebanon HighSchool from the CTC at the end of the day may wait in the cafeteria if they use the bus to gohome.D. LAPTOP COMPUTERS FOR HOME USEStudents who do not have access to a computer at home are permitted to borrow laptopcomputers from the Lebanon High School Media Center overnight and during weekends/holidays.Students and their parent/guardian are asked to read and sign the Laptop Computer BorrowingProgram guidelines. The signed form (page 39 of the Student Handbook) must be returned to thelibrary to borrow a laptop computer.Implementation of Laptop Borrowing Policy:1. Laptops will be borrowed from and returned to the Lebanon High School Media Center.2. Laptops will be assigned on a "first come" basis. A student may reserve a laptop up to oneweek prior to the day that he/she wants to borrow the laptop.3. The student must participate in a training session in the Media Center during flex on the dayof or prior to borrowing a laptop for the first time. The session will include training on how touse the laptop, using programs that are loaded on the laptop, saving data to a disk,troubleshooting minor problems, and maintaining proper care of the laptop.4. Students may pick up a laptop at the end of the school day and MUST return the laptopbefore school the next day school is in session. Computers not returned on time will beunavailable for other students.5. Failure to return laptops on time will result in loss of borrowing privileges.6. Laptops may only be borrowed for one night, except on weekends and school holidays.7. Laptops are to be used for educational purposes ONLY. No other software is to be loaded onthe hard drive. Laptop computers are NOT for home Internet access.8. A student must have a properly formatted disk on which to save his/her work. Disks shouldbe high density/double-sided disks.Liability:It is the student’s responsibility to return the laptop ON TIME and in the same condition it wasreceived. Repair expenses beyond the normal "wear and tear" will be charged to the student.The student will lose all computer privileges, including computer labs, until this charged is cleared.E. DANCESVarious clubs and organizations in the school sponsor dances. Students may be required to showstudent IDs to enter a dance. All guests of students must be pre-registered in the AthleticOffice (adjacent to G201) before 2:00 p.m. on the day of a dance. Unregistered guests will notbe admitted to dances.16
