CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY CENTER<strong>Student</strong>s attending the Career <strong>and</strong> Technology Center in the afternoon or all day should sign in atthe high school <strong>of</strong>fice if they return to the high school after their CTC dismissal. Morning CTCstudents must take the bus to the CTC <strong>and</strong> return to <strong>Lebanon</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> on the bus unlessspecial permission is received from the CTC administration. <strong>Student</strong>s who return to <strong>Lebanon</strong> <strong>High</strong><strong>School</strong> from the CTC at the end <strong>of</strong> the day may wait in the cafeteria if they use the bus to gohome.D. LAPTOP COMPUTERS FOR HOME USE<strong>Student</strong>s who do not have access to a computer at home are permitted to borrow laptopcomputers from the <strong>Lebanon</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> Media Center overnight <strong>and</strong> during weekends/holidays.<strong>Student</strong>s <strong>and</strong> their parent/guardian are asked to read <strong>and</strong> sign the Laptop Computer BorrowingProgram guidelines. The signed <strong>for</strong>m (page 39 <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Student</strong> H<strong>and</strong>book) must be returned to thelibrary to borrow a laptop computer.Implementation <strong>of</strong> Laptop Borrowing Policy:1. Laptops will be borrowed from <strong>and</strong> returned to the <strong>Lebanon</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> Media Center.2. Laptops will be assigned on a "first come" basis. A student may reserve a laptop up to oneweek prior to the day that he/she wants to borrow the laptop.3. The student must participate in a training session in the Media Center during flex on the day<strong>of</strong> or prior to borrowing a laptop <strong>for</strong> the first time. The session will include training on how touse the laptop, using programs that are loaded on the laptop, saving data to a disk,troubleshooting minor problems, <strong>and</strong> maintaining proper care <strong>of</strong> the laptop.4. <strong>Student</strong>s may pick up a laptop at the end <strong>of</strong> the school day <strong>and</strong> MUST return the laptopbe<strong>for</strong>e school the next day school is in session. Computers not returned on time will beunavailable <strong>for</strong> other students.5. Failure to return laptops on time will result in loss <strong>of</strong> borrowing privileges.6. Laptops may only be borrowed <strong>for</strong> one night, except on weekends <strong>and</strong> school holidays.7. Laptops are to be used <strong>for</strong> educational purposes ONLY. No other s<strong>of</strong>tware is to be loaded onthe hard drive. Laptop computers are NOT <strong>for</strong> home Internet access.8. A student must have a properly <strong>for</strong>matted disk on which to save his/her work. Disks shouldbe high density/double-sided disks.Liability:It is the student’s responsibility to return the laptop ON TIME <strong>and</strong> in the same condition it wasreceived. Repair expenses beyond the normal "wear <strong>and</strong> tear" will be charged to the student.The student will lose all computer privileges, including computer labs, until this charged is cleared.E. DANCESVarious clubs <strong>and</strong> organizations in the school sponsor dances. <strong>Student</strong>s may be required to showstudent IDs to enter a dance. All guests <strong>of</strong> students must be pre-registered in the AthleticOffice (adjacent to G201) be<strong>for</strong>e 2:00 p.m. on the day <strong>of</strong> a dance. Unregistered guests will notbe admitted to dances.16
