{22} DETECCIÓN MOLECULAR DE BRUCELLA MELITENSIS EN LECHE DE OVEJA Y CABRA { Amir Shakerian 1,2 , Permal Deo 1 , Ebrahim Rahimi 2 , Ali-Reza Shahjavan 3 y Faham Khamesipour 4 } RESUMEN Tecnología Palabras clave: Brucella melitensis; leche; reacción en cadena de la polimerasa; oveja; cabra. El objetivo del presente estudio fue detectar Brucella melitensis en leche de ovejas y cabras criadas en las regiones de Isfahan y Shahrekord, Irán. Un total de 225 muestras de leche (oveja=125; cabra=100) se recolectaron de las regiones de Isfahan y Shahrekord, en Irán Central. Se usó la reacción en cadena de la polimerasa (PCR) para detectar la presencia de B. melitensis en la leche, seguida por procedimientos estándar. Como resultado, de las 225 muestras, 20 (8.9%) dieron positivo para B. melitensis. De las 125 muestras de leche de oveja, 12 (9.6%) tuvieron B. melitensis, y de estas, 8 (66.6%) fueron leches recolectadas de Shahrekord y 4 (33.3%) de la región de Isfahan. Por otra parte, de las 100 muestras de leche de cabra, 18 (18%) dieron positivo para B. melitensis, de la cuales 10 (55.5%) fueron de Shahrekord y 8 (44.4%) de Isfahan.
