Conservarla es
su gloria mayor
TO KEEP IT,
HER GRATEST GLORY
If something has been, is and will be of vital belonging for Salvadorans,
is its land which history conceded us in a small geographical
space, and that memory, the fondness and the distance has been
transforming into a destiny without borders. Our land is much more
than the mineral sustenance of our life: it is the group of elements
that allows us to live like beings that move by self impulse. Our land is
also the air that flows endlessly from north to south and from east to
west, as if the planet gifted us without rest with an infinite breath. It
is also the water that is freed from the clouds with the inspiration of
the drizzle or with the rapture of the thunderstorm. It is the fire that
circles underneath the earth searching for the relief of the volcanoes
or that lights up the evening skies as if they were magical chapels for
the daily invocation of the miracle of natural light.
