Lo Mejor de Nosotros

El trabajo es, para los salvadoreños y las
salvadoreñas de todas las épocas, el signo
más característico de la vida. Desde que
el sol asoma por el oriente, entre nubes
de resplandeciente colorido, hasta que
se pierde entre los celajes luminosos del
occidente, los hombres y mujeres de esta
tierra hacen su jornada en infinidad de
labores y ocupaciones. Y aun en las noches
“cuajadas de luceros” hay faenas por hacer.
Labor is to Salvadoran men and women
of all of the ages, the most characteristic
sign of life. From the sunrise in the east
between clouds of bright colors until the
sun is lost between the colored clouds of
the west, the men and women of this land
make of their work day an infinity of tasks
and occupations, and even in the nights
full of stars there is also work to do.
